Keeping the formatting bar on screen while you scroll
In a long letter or narrative report, the formatting bar can stay on screen while you scroll, so you don't have to scroll back up to make a word bold or highlight it.
- Freeze it: click 📌 Freeze at the end of the formatting bar. When the box is narrow the button shows just 📌. The bar now stays at the top of the screen (under the header, if the header is frozen too) while you scroll through the box.
- Unfreeze it: click 📌 Frozen. The bar goes back to scrolling with the page.
- Where it stops: the bar stays with its box. Scroll past the end of the letter or report and it goes with it.
- Remembered: it's one setting for every formatting bar (letters and the narrative report), kept on that computer or phone.
- More room on a phone: the bar takes a few rows on a small screen. Unfreeze the header (⋯ More → 📌 Header frozen) to give the letter more room, or unfreeze the bar while you read.
- Locked letter? While a letter waits for a supervisor's approval, the formatting buttons are locked, but 📌 Freeze still works.
