Claimsfy Contents

Claimsfy Contents has eleven tabs: Contents List Queue, Notice of Loss, Contacts, Policy & Coverage, Documents, Photos, Contents, LKQ Live Feed, Appraised Value, Notes and History. The last three before Notes are the steps of every contents claim, and the colored step bar at the top of each one moves between them: 1 Contents list β€Ί 2 LKQ live feed β€Ί 3 Appraised value.

Contents List Queue

Every claim's contents list, with its status (No list yet, Requested, List received, Pricing, To review or Appraised), how many contents it has, how many are priced, what the insured claimed and the Claimsfy appraised value. New Inventory (top of the screen) starts one with the claim number and the insured's name and opens it on the Contents tab. There's no prior claims search in Claimsfy Contents.

Get the contents list

  • πŸ“₯ Import the contents list: drop it on the Contents tab. Excel (.xlsx) works best: Claimsfy finds the heading row, including the standard inventory form's two-row headings (Complete description of item over Item, Manufacturer, Model #, Serial #), reads every column, and skips blank numbered rows, the total row and the signature line. Links on a cell, HYPERLINK or IMAGE formulas, web addresses typed in a cell, and pictures over a row or in a cell go with their content. CSV, pasted rows, a Word table (.docx), or a PDF or photo of a written list (read by Claimsfy AI) work too. An older .xls or .doc file needs to be saved as .xlsx or .docx first; Claimsfy says how.
  • Check the columns: before anything is imported you see what each column holds and its first rows. Change a column, pick the sheet, and add to the contents already there or replace them. A Room column is skipped: each content is listed by its name.
  • πŸ“¨ Request it from the insured: creates a secure link for the insured, with Copy link, βœ‰ Email it and πŸ’¬ Text it (the message is written for you). The insured opens it with no account and uploads their list, photos and receipts, or types the list in; a typed list arrives as a CSV file, ready to import. The page also has the blank form to download (it opens in Excel). The πŸ”” tells you when something arrives, and πŸ“¬ Received from the insured on the Contents tab has πŸ“₯ Import for a list and πŸ“· Add to Photos for photos.
  • ⬇ Blank inventory form (Excel) has the insured's name and the claim number filled in, and a column for links. It imports back as it is.

The contents

Each content is listed by its Item Name, with its photo, Salvageable (Yes or No), quantity, age, the amount claimed, the price each with its source, the Claimsfy appraised value (RCV), depreciation, ACV and status. Open one to change any detail, see every price found, use another one, type your own price and where it's from, set its depreciation by hand, approve it or mark it not covered (with the reason). Photos that came with the inventory or its links are on the Photos tab too, labeled with the content's item name. ✨ Tidy descriptions splits the brand, model and serial number out of each description with Claimsfy AI and keeps the insured's wording; Describe from photo fills in what a content's photo shows and suggests whether it's salvageable.

Salvageable

Every content has Yes and No buttons in the Salvageable column (press one again to clear it). Yes means it can be cleaned and still works normally: it's valued at its cleaning cost (type it on the content, for all its units), isn't depreciated, isn't priced at like kind and quality and stays off the LKQ Live Feed. No means it needs to be replaced and is priced at like kind and quality as usual. When Claimsfy AI suggests one (from Describe from photo or ✨ Match photos to the list), the column shows it as ✨ Yes? or ✨ No? to accept with one click, and ✨ Use the salvage picks accepts them all. Filter the list by Salvageable: yes, no or not decided. A Salvageable or Cleaning cost column on an imported list comes in with it (yes, clean or salvageable; no, replace or not salvageable). The summary, the Appraised Value tab and the reports show how many are salvageable, how many are replaced, and the cleaning in the appraised value.

Photos on the claim

  • πŸ“· Photos not on the contents list (on the Contents tab) shows every photo on the claim that isn't attached to a content yet, such as photos from the Photos tab or from the insured. For each one: Add as a content (Claimsfy AI names it from the photo when it's on), Attach to a content…, or Not a content (set aside; Photos marked not a content puts one back). ✨ Match photos to the list has Claimsfy AI look at each photo: it attaches the photo to the content it shows, adds a new content for an item that isn't on the list, sets aside photos that don't show a content (with the reason), and suggests whether each item is salvageable.
  • The Photos tab: each photo's Label (item name) is the content's item name; renaming the label renames the content. There's no Area. Damage Severity is No damage, Clean, Replace or Salvageable: on a content's photo, Clean or Salvageable marks the content Salvageable Yes, and Replace marks it No. Under each photo is its price: the content's price each (or cleaning cost) and appraised value, ready to change. A photo that isn't on the list yet says so; typing a price adds it as a content named by its label. Label with AI gives the item name, the damage severity and what the damage looks like.

Photos from links

πŸ“· Photos from links opens every link on the inventory and adds what it finds as photos on the claim. A photo link brings the photo; a link to a product page brings the page's main picture, and its title and price show on the content as a price from the insured's link. Shared-drive photo links are opened as the photo itself. The team server opens the links (public web addresses only, never addresses on your own network), and a link with no photo says why.

LKQ Live Feed

Like kind and quality listings for every content, newest first: the listing's photo, the store, the price, whether it's the same item, like kind and quality, an upgrade or a lesser match, the link to the listing, and the content it's for. The team server reads each listing's page for its photo and checks its current price; a price that changed is flagged. Use this price puts a listing to work for its content, Open content goes to it on the Contents tab, and the filters show In use, Best matches or To decide.

  • New contents are priced automatically (imported, sent in by the insured, or added by hand) while the feed's switch is on; it's on unless you turn it off. πŸ”Ž Pull prices now prices everything that still needs a price, and πŸ”„ Recheck prices over 30 days old searches again.
  • Claimsfy AI searches the web for the same item new at established retailers, or the closest new item of the same type, quality and features when it's no longer sold, and leaves out used, refurbished, open-box and marketplace listings. Web search runs on the team server's AI key (or your own key). Anthropic bills each search; Searches per content sets the most for one content. An administrator turns on web search for the key in the Anthropic Console.
  • Without web search (for example in a preview), the feed shows Claimsfy AI estimates with a likely range, labeled as estimates and marked to review, without listings, photos or links.

Claimsfy Appraised Value

What each content is worth today at like kind and quality. At the top: the Claimsfy appraised value (RCV), the ACV after depreciation, what the insured claimed, the difference, and how many contents are appraised. Below: every content with its claimed amount, appraised value, depreciation, ACV, the difference and the price source (linked to the listing). βœ“ Approve all priced approves every content priced from a listing at like kind and quality. ⬇ Appraisal report (PDF), ⬇ Excel and Save to Documents.

  • Totals and settlement: by category; the settlement at RCV or ACV (the policy's loss settlement); special limits from the policy, held to their limit for the categories you pick; and the Coverage C limit from Policy & Coverage.
  • Pricing, depreciation and limits: the sales tax, the loss settlement, retailers to check first, sites to leave out, searches per content, the depreciation schedule and condition adjustments, and special limits. Depreciation is straight-line by category: the age divided by the useful life, times the condition adjustment, up to the category's maximum; categories with a life of 0, such as jewelry and art, aren't depreciated. The age comes from the date purchased (a date, a month and year, a year, or "3 years") against the date of loss, or type the age. These are starting values: change them to the carrier's depreciation guidelines.

Reports

On the Contents tab: ⬇ PDF (the priced inventory with Item Name and Salvageable, the settlement, totals by category, every price source with its link, and the photos with each one's price and damage severity under it), ⬇ Excel (contents with Salvageable and Cleaning cost columns, by category, price sources with clickable links, and the settlement), CSV and Save to Documents. The Appraised Value tab has the same report titled Claimsfy Appraised Value.
