Marking damage on photos (Carrier)
Every photo can carry an arrow or circle that shows exactly where the damage is. The photo itself is never changed: the marks are kept with it and drawn on the reports.
- Mark a photo: click ✏️ Mark damage on a damage photo (or ✏️ on any other photo, or ✏️ Mark in the magnifier). Pick ⭕ Circle or ➚ Arrow and red, yellow or white, then drag on the photo, or tap the damage to drop one. Tap a mark to move it; drag its white dots to resize it. Save keeps the marks, and ‹ › saves and goes to the next damage photo.
- Claimsfy AI: when it labels a damage photo it also circles the damage. Mark them with AI in the bar above the photos does the same for damage photos with no marks, and Find the damage does it in the editor. AI circles are dashed, and the photo says AI marked · check, until you ✓ Keep them or save them in the editor. Until then they don't print. Check that each circle is on the damage. AI never replaces marks you drew.
- On the reports: the photo report (PDF, Word and web page), the photo sheet, the estimate report's photo pages, the contact sheet, the photo ZIPs and Save photo. The marks go with the photos wherever they're sent, including an inspection package.
- Not using markup: Don't use markup in the bar above the photos turns it off for your account, so it's off on every device you sign in on; each adjuster has their own choice. The arrows, circles and ✏️ buttons go away, Claimsfy AI stops marking photos and every report prints the clean photos. Your marks are kept, so Use markup brings them back. Changed with no signal? It's kept on the device and saved to your account when you're back online. To leave one photo clean, open it and choose No markup on this photo.
- Originals: a photo file saved with marks doesn't carry the camera's date and location details. To hand over the original files, turn markup off first.
