Automatic initial reserve (Field)

Claimsfy Field

The reported damage first: until damage photos come in, the automatic reserve covers only the damage the insured reported in the notice of loss (Damage reported and the loss description): the rooms, roof, exterior, other structures, contents and loss of use they named. Inspection notes, mitigation details, other notes and the number of photos don't raise it. With only a cause of loss and nothing reported, it waits.

  • Then the damage photos: when photos labeled as damage come in, the reserve is worked out again from what the photos show (rooms, roof, exterior, severity, contents) and posted again, up or down. A room the insured reported that no photo shows yet is flagged on the reserve panel.
  • Reject it or set your own: next to Accept as my reserve on the reserve panel, ✕ Reject automatic reserve turns the automatic reserve off for that claim and takes off the figure it posted, then opens Set your own reserve. ✎ Set my own reserve takes a figure for each coverage and the expense reserve, with a note for the file; it's saved to the reserve history and the activity log. Turn automatic back on undoes a rejection.
  • Your figure stays yours: once you set the reserve by hand, nothing changes it automatically; the panel tells you when the suggestion has moved 20% or more.
  • Ask Claimsfy AI on the reserve panel follows the same two steps.
  • Each automatic posting is in the reserve history and the activity log: Initial reserve – automatic (damage reported in the notice of loss), then Reserve readjusted to the damage photos – automatic.
