"AI drafting is off" or "needs Claimsfy AI turned on"

These messages mean Claimsfy can't reach an AI key:

  • "AI drafting is off. Turn it on in 🤖 AI setup, or ask your administrator."
  • "Drafting needs Claimsfy AI turned on." / "Writing needs Claimsfy AI turned on." / "Asking Claimsfy AI needs Claimsfy AI turned on."
  • "AI is off. Add an Anthropic API key in 🤖 AI setup, or connect to your team server."

If your company uses a team server (most firms):

  1. Make sure you opened Claimsfy from your company's address (for example https://yourcompany.claimsfy.com/), not a downloaded copy.
  2. Open ⋯ More → 🤖 AI setup. If it doesn't say "Connected to your team server", sign out and sign in again.
  3. If it's connected but AI is still off, the server has no key. Your administrator adds ANTHROPIC_API_KEY in Render → Environment and saves.

On a copy without a server: add your Anthropic API key in 🤖 AI setup.

Everything that doesn't need AI keeps working: you can label photos, build estimates and write notes by hand.
